As speculated yesterday in my “Cancellation Watch” post, I highlighted how CBS’ new sitcom How to Be a Gentleman was on life support and would be cancelled any day now. Today, CBS has officially cut the cord.
The first sign that death may have been lurking arounf the corner was the announcement of Gentleman moving to Saturday’s at 8p.m. due to its inability to keep up with its lead-in The Big Bang Theory.
How to Be a Gentleman is the highest rated show to be cancelled so far this season, averaging 8 million viewers for its last 2 episodes.
Gentleman is the fourth show to be cancelled this season after NBC’s The Playboy Club, Free Agents, and The CW’s H8R. its low ratings. Now, CBS has shut down production of the Kevin Dillion/Kevin Hornsby led comedy after shooting 9 episodes.
