Interesting Ratings for Thursday, October 13.

Thursday night’s ratings were fulled with surprises galore, with shows that were expected to perform successfully, actually failing miserably, and shows that are on the verge of cancellation gaining viewers compared to last week.

Fox won top honors last night with The X-Factor, which was moved to Thursdays this week due to MLB baseball, earned 10.5 million viewers and a 3.6 in the A18-49  demo.

CBS came in second last night, but had TV’s top show with a new The Big Bang Theory at 8p.m. (13.26 million viewers, A18-49: 4.4), a repeat of The Big Bang Theory at 8:30p.m. (11.99 million viewers, A18-49: 3.7), *The repeat of Big Bang outperformed recently cancelled How to Be a Gentlemen by 4 million viewers and 1.2 demo points*  Person of Interest gained some steam last night, rebounding from its low from last Thursday, earning 11.86 million viewers, A18-49: 2.7, and The Mentalist (12.25 million viewers, A18-49: 2.5).

ABC seen some improvements also last night. The once bound-to-be-cancelled Charlie’s Angels might have some fight left it in, miraculously gaining viewers from last week (5.96 million viewers, A18-49: 1.3), a new episode of Grey’s Anatomy seen an uptick in the ratings as well (9.69 million viewers, A18-49: 3.4) and Private Practice (6.70 million viewers, A18-49: 2.4).

NBC was left to fight for the scraps with lineup of Community (3.83 million viewers, A18-49: 1.7), Parks and Recreation (3.99 million viewers, A18-49: 2.1), The Office (6.02 million viewers, A18-49: 3.2), Whitney continues to fall (4.20 million viewers, A18-49: 2.0), and Prime Suspect may be on the verge of cancellation soon with only 4.50 million viewers and a 1.3 in the A18-49.

Finally, The CW finished last The Vampire Diaries ( 2.81 million viewers, A18-49: 1.4), and Secret Circle (1.84 million viewers, A18-49: 0.8). Both series were up compared to last week.
