Happy Halloween! FX orders a second season of American Horror Story

My smile is as big as a Jack-o-Latern with this news!

FX has announced that it will be giving a second 13-episode order to its newest hit American Horror Story. Only four episodes into its freshman run, American Horror Story has captivated critics, audiences’, and has made its mark in the ratings. AHS debuted in the beginning of October to 3.1 million viewers, great for a cable network on FX. Ratings have grown every week to has high as 4.1 million viewers for last weeks airing. American Horror Story is on the track to be the highest rated first season series ever on FX once its season ends in December.

American Horror Story is executive produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (Glee) and has an all-star, award-winning cast which includes Dylan McDermott (The Practice), Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Jessica Lange (Grey Gardens) and Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under).

American Horror Story airs on Wednesdays at 10p.m. on FX.
