TV Ratings for Monday, December 5th: CBS comedies help win the night

CBS‘ powerful Monday lineup helped to win another Monday night thanks to new episodes of How I Met Your Mother (11.71 million viewers, A18-49: 4.5), 2 Broke Girls (12.78 million viewers, A18-49: 4.6), Two and a Half Men (15.04 million viewers, A18-49: 5.0), Mike & Molly (12.74 million viewers, A18-49: 4.2), and Hawaii 5-0 (10.76 million viewers, A18-49:  3.0).

Fox placed second with the second annual American Country Awards (7.42 million viewers, A18-49: 2.0).

ABC slid to third place with a the holiday specials A Charlie Brown Christmas (9.06 million viewers, A18-49: 2.8), Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice (6.99 million viewers, A18-49: 2.2), followed by a new episode of You Deserve It (3.57 million viewers, A18-49: 1.0), and a repeat of Castle (8.05 million viewers, A18-49: 2.0).

NBC showcased a holiday special of The Sing-Off (4.13 million viewers, A18-49: 1.1), followed by Rock Center with Brian Williams (3.42 million viewers, A18-49: 0.9).

On The CW, the fall finales of Gossip Girl (1.28 million viewers, A18-49: 0.6), and Hart of Dixie (1.79 million viewers, A18-49: 0.7) placed last for the network.
