TV Ratings for Wednesday, Jan 25th: “Touch” opens big for Fox

Fox took first place honors last night with a new episode of American Idol (19.51 million viewers, A18-49: 6.4), and the special preview of Touch (11.87 million viewers, A18-49: 3.9). Touch is the second highest rated drama series premiere this season, behind ABC’s Once Upon a Time.

CBS claimed second place with a repeat of Criminal Minds (7.91 million viewers, A18-49: 1.7), followed by the 150th episode of Criminal Minds (13.70 million viewers, A18-49: 3.6), and Marg Helgenberger’s final episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (14.03 million viewers, A18-49: 3.4) – its highest rated episode this season.

In third place came ABC with an all repeat lineup of The Middle (5.26 million viewers, A18-49: 1.5), Suburgatory (4.21 million viewers, A18-49: 1.4), Modern Family (6.49 million viewers, A18-49: 2.5), Happy Endings (4.02 million viewers, A18-49: 1.7), and Revenge (3.12 million viewers, A18-49: 0.9).

NBC placed fourth with new episodes of Whitney (4.50 million viewers, A18-49: 1.4), Are You There, Chelsea? (3.90 million viewers, A18-49: 1.4), followed by repeats of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (3.75 million viewers, A18-49: 1.2), followed by another repeat of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (4.01 million viewers, A18-49: 1.4).

The CW ended the night in fifth place with a new episode of One Tree Hill (1.47 million viewers, A18-49: 0.7), leading into a repeat of Remodeled (0.66 million viewers, A18-49: 0.3).
