NBC won Monday night in the ratings by a large margin thanks to the time period premiere of The Voice (17.69 million viewers, A18-49: 6.6), and the series premiere of Smash (11.50 million viewers, A18-49: 3.8). The Voice delivered NBC’s highest regular in-season since Heroes on September 24, 2007 in the 18-49 demo. Smash also broke records last night by being the highest 18-49 scoring drama on ABC, CBS, or NBC this season, as well as giving NBC its best in-season 18-49 and total viewers demos since the Saturday Night Live Election Special in November 2008.
CBS had to take the back seat to NBC last night, placing a strong second place with new episodes of How I Met Your M0ther (9.99 million viewers, A18-49: 4.0), 2 Broke Girls (11.42 million viewers, A18-49: 4.2), Two and a Half Men (12.90 million viewers, A18-49: 4.2), Mike & Molly (11.02 million viewers, A18-49: 3.4), and Hawaii 5-0 (9.80 million viewers, A18-49: 2.7).
ABC placed third with new episodes of The Bachelor (8.24 million viewers, A18-49: 2.6) and Castle (8.72 million viewers, A18-49: 2.0).
Fox fell to fourth place last night with new episodes of House (7.16 million viewers, A18-49: 2.4), and Alcatraz (6.78 million viewers, A18-49: 2.2).
The CW offered up new episodes of Gossip Girl (1.28 million viewers, A18-49: 0.6), and Hart of Dixie (1.50 million viewers, A18-49: 0.6),
