TV Ratings for Wednesday, Feb 15th: “Survivor” premiere, “SVU”, “Chelsea”, and all of ABC grab season lows

Fox overshadowed the competition on Wednesday night with a new, 2-hour episode of American Idol (18.63 million viewers, A18-49: 6.0).

CBS fell to a distant second place with the season premiere of Survivor: One World (10.70 million viewers, A18-49: 3.0) – the lowest rated premiere of a Survivor franchise ever – followed by a new episode of Criminal Minds (11.90 million viewers, A18-49: 3.0) – a season low for the drama – and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (11.06 million viewers, A18-49: 2.7).

ABC placed third this week with new episodes of The Middle (7.86 million viewers, A18-49: 2.8), Suburgatory (6.93 million viewers, A18-49: 2.4), Modern Family (11.22 million viewers, A18-49: 4.7), Happy Endings (5375 million viewers, A18-49: 2.5), and Revenge (7.60 million viewers, A18-49: 2.4). All series matched or hit their season lows.

NBC captured fourth place with new episodes of Whitney (4.46 million viewers, A18-49: 1.6), Are You There, Chelsea? (3.49 million viewers, A18-49: 1.4) – tying its previous season low, followed by a new episode of Rock Center with Brian Williams (3.05 million viewers, A18-49: 0.8), and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (5.85 million viewers, A18-49: 1.7) – its season low.

The CW closed out the night with new episode of One Tree Hill (1.36 million viewers, A18-49: 0.7), and Remodeled (0.50 million viewers, A18-49: 0.5).
