ABC swept the night thanks to the coverage of The 84th Annual Academy Awards (34.36 million viewers, A18-49: 10.2) – down only 3% compared ton last year’s ceremony.
CBS came in second place against the Oscars with new episodes of 60 Minutes (7.30 million viewers, A18-49: 1.3), The Amazing Race (7.60 million viewers, A18-49: 1.3), and repeats of The Mentalist (4.87 million viewers, A18-49: 0.9) and CSI: Miami (5.19 million viewers, A18-49: 1.2).
NBC finished in third place with Dateline NBC (4.98 million viewers, A18-49: 1.1), a recap of The Celebrity Apprentice (2.55 million viewers, A18-49: 0.8), followed by a new The Celebrity Apprentice (5 million viewers, A18-49: 1.8).
Fox finished the night with an all-repeat lineup of its animated programs Bob’s Burgers, The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Napoleon Dynamite, Family Guy, and American Dad – averaging 2.04 million viewers and a 0.8 in the 18-49 demo for the network, overall.
