FX is creating a new, 2 1/2 hour comedy block on Thursdays that is sure to get people talking and laughing. Charlie Sheen’s new comedy Anger Management will join Louie, Wilfred, and Russell Brand’s new late-night comedy series Strangely Uplifting in an all-new comedy block this summer on the cable network.
Anger Management will premiere Thursday, June 28th at 9p.m. with back-to-back episodes. The second season of Wilfred will premiere the same night at 10p.m., the third season premiere of Louie at 1030p.m., followed by Brand’s Strangely Uplifting at 11p.m. Anger Management, which has an initial order of 10 episodes, will air the previous weeks episode at 9p.m. and new episodes at 930 p.m. starting July 5th.
Anger Management stars Sheen as an unconventional therapist specializing in anger management, with Selma Blair (Legally Blonde) as Sheen’s therapist and Shawnee Smith (Becker) as Sheen’s wife.
Strangely Uplifting will feature Russell Brand’s unique brand of unfiltered comedy and give his take on current events in politics, entertainment, and pop culture. The comedy and vibe from Uplifting will be heavily drawn from Brand and his interaction with the live studio audience.
This is going to be a great summer on FX!
