TV Ratings for Monday, Feb 27th: Daytona 500 wins for Fox, “Smash” builds week-to-week

Fox climbed up to first place this Monday thanks to its coverage of the NASCAR: Daytona 500 (13.94 million viewers, A18-49: 4.5).

NBC had to take a backseat for the first time in four weeks on a Monday, offering up new episodes of The Voice (14.77 million viewers, A18-49: 5.4) and Smash (6.86 million viewers, A18-49: 2.4) – the first time the show has gained viewers since its premiere.

CBS had to settle for third this week with all-new episodes of How I Met Your Mother (9.13 million viewers, A18-49: 3.6), 2 Broke Girls (10.14 million viewers, A18-49: 3.7), Two and a Half Men (11.81 million viewers, A18-49: 3.6), Mike & Molly (10.10 million viewers, A18-49: 2.9), and Hawaii 5-0 (9.45 million viewers, A18-49: 2.5).

ABC fell to fourth place with new editions of The Bachelor (7.98 million viewers, A18-49: 2.6), and Castle (9.06 million viewers, A18-49: 2.2).

New episodes of Gossip Girl (1.17 million viewers, A18-49: 0.5) and Hart of Dixie (1.40 million viewers, A18-49: 0.5) rounded out the night on The CW.
