A special edition of American Idol on Fox last night crushed all it’s competition, luring in 15.84 million viewers and a 5.0 in the 18-49 demo.
American Idol caused CBS‘ NCIS to reach a season low of 18.01 million viewers and a 3.4, while NCIS: Los Angeles grabbed 15.67 million viewers, A18-49: 3.1, and Unforgettable reaching a series low of 9.93 million viewers, A18-49: 1.9.
NBC moved up to third place with a new episode of The Biggest Loser 13 (5.69 million viewers, A18-49: 2.0) – a season low so far, and the season finale of Parenthood (5.13 million viewers, A18-49: 1.9).
ABC couldn’t keep up with the competition with its line-up of Last Man Standing (7.38 million viewers, A18-49: 2.1), Cougar Town (4.30 million viewers, A18-49: 1.5), The River (4.09 million viewers, A18-49: 1.5), and Body of Proof (6.75 million viewers, A18-49: 1.3). Last Man, Cougar Town, and The River all hit season lows against American Idol.
Over on The CW, a repeat of Hart of Dixie (0.89 million viewers, A18-49 0.3) led into a new episode of Ringer (1.11 million viewers, A18-49: 0.4).
