This summer, the eighth (and suspected final season) of Weeds will kick off on Sunday, July 1st at 10p.m., leading into the second season premiere of Episodes starring Matt LeBlanc.
Once fall comes, viewers will find out what happens when Dexter’s sister catches him in the middle of a murder, and if Agent Carrie will remember the dream she had about Brody being a terrorist after her electroshock therapy treatments.
Dexter and Homeland will once again share the same night, Sundays, this fall starting September 30th. Showtime felt no need to split these two hit shows up since Dexter earned its highest season ever in its sixth season, averaging 5.5 million viewers weekly. Homeland averaged 4.4 million viewers weekly, and climbing to 5 million viewers for the season finale, a record high for a first season finale on Showtime.
Homeland also was a huge awards magnet during its first season, earning three Golden Globes nominations, walking away with two – Best Actress in a Drama Series for Claire Danes (Agent Carrie Mathison), and Best Drama Series.
Showtime announced these dates well in advanced so viewers could plan their schedules this summer and fall so they wont miss their favorite drama and comedies. Will you be watching?
