The JWalk Guide to the 2019 Broadcast TV Upfronts: NBC Edition

The broadcast TV upfronts are a week away and it’s time to take a closer look at what the networks schedules may look like for the 2019-2020 season. Over the next week, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, and The CW will be making the final calls on what shows will be renewed and canceled. Here is a breakdown the fate of NBC’s shows and whether they’re RENEWED, LIKELY TO BE RENEWED, COULD GO EITHER WAY, LIKELY TO BE CANCELED OR CANCELED.

NBC has already picked up the majority of its slate, already handing renewals out to comedies Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place, Superstoreand Will & Grace. Other renewals include the Chicago franchise, freshmen series New Amsterdam and Manifest, as well as veteran drama series The Blacklist, Good Girls, and Law & Order: SVU for its record 21st season.

NBC has also announced new series pickups Bluff City Law and Sunnyside and Council of Dads for the 2019-2020 season.

  • The Enemy Within – Likely to be canceled
  • I Feel Bad – CANCELED
  • Manifest – RENEWED
  • New Amsterdam RENEWED
  • The Titan Games – Likely to be renewed
  • The Village – Likely to be canceled

Returning Series

  • A.P Bio – Likely to be canceled
  • The Blacklist –RENEWED
  • Blindspot – Likely to be canceled
  • Brooklyn Nine-Nine –RENEWED
  • Chicago Fire – RENEWED
  • Chicago Med – RENEWED
  • Chicago PD – RENEWED
  • Ellen’s Game of Games – RENEWED
  • Good Girls – RENEWED
  • The Good Place – RENEWED
  • Law & Order: SVU – RENEWED
  • Midnight, Texas – CANCELED
  • Superstore – RENEWED
