Jersey Shore star DJ Pauly D seems like he’ll be making a life for himself post-Jersey Shore, as he has signed a deal to join rapper 50 Cent’s record label, G-Note.
All of this was confirmed with 50 Cent himself tweeted a photo of the pair, possibly celebrating the new-found deal.
Rumors of Pauly D joining the rap stars record label started this summer when the DJ hinted to Billboard Magazine that the two artist would be collaborating on a joint album. Pauly D has also been quoted in XXL magazine that “the ink on a three-record deal with 50 Cent would be dry by the end of the year.” We don’t know if the deal he has with 50 Cent is for three albums, but he had the end of the year part right, so who knows what can happen next.
The DJ has always had a passion for music, and that has been seen many times over the four seasons of Jersey Shore. “I’m working with 50 Cent now. I’m gonna do an album with him. It’s going to be a little bit of everything. It’s almost like DJ Khaled and kind of David Guetta but my own DJ Pauly D style,” said Pauly in an interview with Billboard.
In addition to his new record contract and Jersey Shore, Pauly D is continuing to expand the “DJ Pauly D” brand by reuniting with Britney Spears on her last stop on her “Femme Fatale” tour, as he opened for her on six legs of her tour this summer. He also has a DJ’ing gig at the Rain nightclub in Las Vegas at the Palms Resort and Casino.
Season 5 of Jersey Shore premieres Thursday, January 5th at 10p.m. on MTV.
